Founded in 2008, Lambda offers music lessons in a variety of instruments, including piano, violin, cello, ukulele & guitar, voice / singing, flute, clarinet, saxophone, harp, music theory lessons, for learners of all ages and levels. Lambda also offers fun music initiation programs for young students, piano pedagogy professional training for piano teachers and advanced piano students. We offer lessons in music, music initiation, drawing, painting, dance (including Salsa, Latin Dance, Zumba - both group classes and private instruction), musical theatre, photography, videography, piano pedagogy, spring break day camps and summer day camps. We also host unique themed birthday parties (including our pop star theme birthday parties with karaoke singing, dance party and a photo shoot session) for children at our venue.

Lambda School of Music and Fine Arts was co-founded in 2008 by Dr. Angela Chan & Dr. Wonny Song. It offers music and arts training to the public, while it also nurtures and fosters talent of students and helps them develop to a highly advanced level. Lambda provides all the infrastructure necessary to meet the students’ needs to develop optimally. Students flourish artistically under quality instruction and uniquely developed pedagogical methodologies, master classes, frequent rehearsal and performance opportunities, as well as state-of-the-art school facilities including a concert hall and recording studio.

Despite its short history of 4 years of existence, Lambda School has already demonstrated great success through its students’ accomplishments. Several students have performed as soloists with major orchestras, and many have garnered grand prizes in national (including the Canadian Music Competition) and international competitions. Lambda students have also performed abroad including the US, France, German, Italy and Korea. In 2012, five students have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall (with the youngest pianist being just 8 years old). We are proud to announce that our students will be performing at Place des Arts in November 2012 with the WSO, with Mrs. Olivia Chow (wife of Jack Layton) as our Honorary chairperson.
