Lambda Kids' Saturdays are intended for the young to have a fun-filled weekend while they learn about various artistic disciplines. Children acquire a positive first experience through working with dedicated professionals and experts in a supportive and inspiring artistic environment.
Music Initiation (Music Appreciation) Classes for Young Children (ages 3 to 6)This class is designed to introduce children to the world of music through singing, dance and movement. Children will learn the basics of rhythm, pulse, basics of musical notation and develop a keen sense towards music. Students will also be introduced to professional instruments through a hands on approach. Instruments that will be covered include the concert grand piano, violin, guitar, flute, accordion, harp, harmonica, percussion instruments and more. Students who finish this course will have developed a general sense of how these musical instruments work, and how they sound like. This experience also allows students to discover which musical instrument(s) they may gravitate towards for further study. Saturdays 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Semester course - 10 lessons) Starting day: 17th September, 2011 Saturday Instructor: Prof. Min Kyeong Kim Classes are arranged in such a manner that parents can sign their children up for one or more subjects during the day to maximize artistic exposure.
